Brand Name Concept and Storytelling

Renny and Leo bought an abandoned vineyard in Tiana close to Barcelona the idea was to build a destination experience that was more than just about wine, but art and music. I work at the very start of Can Reon project, alongside Cathal Mckee, on the conception of the Brand Name and storytelling.

Approach

Cathal came to me, with the request of supporting a passion project for the two owners, and lifelong partners, Renny and Leon, with a naming that would reflect both the land they are and who they are - a long-life art curator and a music producer from the Netherlands. 
My approach was to integrate the Dutch progressive and innovative style of the couple within the traditional Catalan culture. the heritage of old Catalan houses called “Masias, were always given the owner's family name or nickname, thus people could refer to their property land. This name always comes after “Can” which translates to “house of”. The name “Reon” combined simply letters from their first names overlapped each other to show their inseparability.
